Breast Feeding
The Health Department encourages and supports women to breast feed their babies if they are able to do so. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are available to provide breastfeeding information, encouragement and support, both prenatal and throughout the mother's breastfeeding experience; therefore working to fill in the gap in services between the private physician and the WIC agency. The WIC program provides breast pumps, free of charge, to WIC participants. More information about breast feeding is available at here. |
