Loudoun County Launches FY11 Process for Funding Regional Organizations The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors has issued its annual call to community organizations for funding consideration during the Fiscal Year 2011 budget deliberations. Funding opportunities are available to nonprofit organizations that provide services to Loudoun County residents in the designated service categories. The amount of funding for FY 11, if any, will be determined as part of the county’s adopted fiscal plan. To be eligible for funding, organizations must be a tax-exempt private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization and provide services in one or more of the following categories: - Health;
- Emergency food, clothing or shelter;
- Social Services;
- Arts;
- Culture; and
- Economic Development
A review committee made up of citizen representatives to specific government advisory groups and Loudoun County staff will review the applications and develop proposed funding allocations. The Board of Supervisors will approve funding allocations as part of its FY 11 budget process. Any organization interested in submitting a request for funds must complete an application form, which may be obtained from the Loudoun County website at www.loudoun.gov/management-financialservices or by contacting Susan Breen, Grants Specialist, in the Department of Management and Financial Services at 703-737-8341 or via e-mail at susan.breen@loudoun.gov.
