Services for Families
Foster Care and Adoption
The Loudoun County Department of Family Services provides foster care placements for abused or neglected children from birth to age 18 who are placed in the custody of the department. Alternatives to foster care are thoroughly explored. Any resident interested in becoming a foster parent or adopting a child with special needs may contact the Department of Family Services for information.

Family and Consumer Sciences Programs
The Virginia Cooperative Extension helps families improve their quality of life through educational programs in the areas of financial management, food sanitation, nutrition, and child care. Community workshops and newsletters are available.
